A Note from Melanie Bragg
Owner and Attorney, Bragg Law PC
Welcome to Bragg Law, PC. Since 1983, it has been my honor to assist my clients in resolving their legal issues. My desire to improve the lives of those around me has always been a driving force in my career. I strive to ensure that everyone who enters my office leaves feeling more confident and better situated to face the task ahead.

It is my pledge to you that I will work tirelessly to provide an amicable solution for your case. Even in the most complex situations, you can rely on my tenacity, my mediation skills, and my determination. I will never stop working to improve myself and my legal skills in order to better serve you, my trusted clients, in your time of need. I have been honored to be entrusted by our courts to serve as Attorney Ad Litem and Guardian Ad Litem to represent the best interests of minor children, incapacitated elderly, and individuals with mental health problems.

When I’m not practicing law, I love to read and write. I have authored educational books and programs for other attorneys, such as HIPAA for the General Practitioner. My goal with these programs is to advance lawyers’ skills and knowledge of the healthcare industry. My first foray into fiction, Crosstown Park: An Alex Stockton Legal Thriller, has quickly become a favorite amongst lawyers and thrill-seekers alike. As my writing portfolio expands, I have had the opportunity to share my experience through public speaking and my work with the National Speakers Association and the National Speakers Association Houston. I frequently speak at writer’s conferences and consult with authors about their publication needs.

Philanthropy and community also play a huge part in my life. Over the years, I have been active in my local, state, and national bar associations. I currently serve as the Chair of the Solo, Small Firm, and General Practice Division of the American Bar Association and am focusing on programming and public service projects that meet the needs of the lawyers and citizens we serve. I have also served on the Children at Risk Law & Public Policy Board. I find true joy in working with a group who works so hard to serve children in Texas.

Our Practice
Melanie Bragg has long enjoyed a reputation as one of Houston’s fiercest attorneys in her representation of children, the elderly, and mentally disadvantaged people. Her firm, Bragg Law PC, is a general civil firm in Houston, Texas. Bragg Law PC has a focus in mediation, arbitration, probate, guardianships, and small business work. Melanie believes in the power of preventative legal practice. She urges clients to seek out effective legal advice before it seems absolutely necessary. Having worked in the civil, criminal, family, and probate courts, Melanie brings a unique perspective and a tough work ethic to each new case.

Melanie also believes in bringing mindfulness to her practice. As she has said before: “No matter what we feel we are doing right, we are not in control of how other people respond and react.” When life gets chaotic, Melanie has the skills and experience to see you to the other side.
